Balk-Line 71/2
PRAGUE - The specialists in the balk-line disciplines are invited for the Euro Grand Prix in 71/2 from 2 to 4 October. The tournament will be held in Zizkov near Prague. The inscriptions are still open until 4th September. Maximum participation is 36 players. The venue: Sokol Žižkov (Koněvova 19, Prague 3), the organization in collaboration with BC Vitkov Prague, TJ Sokol Žižkov and Czech billiard federation. The Frenchman Jean Pierre Guiraud is the tournament director on behalf of the European Billards federation CEB. The organization will distribute three wildcards. The 24 players at the European championships in Brandenburg in this discipline will have priority for inscription.
The matches will be played on four match tables, the 36 players are divided into twelve groups of three. The winners of the groups and the four best runners-up qualify for the final round. The match length is 150 in the group stage, 200 in the final rounds. The winner will be rewarded by 2000 euros, the number two 1000, the numbers three and four 600, 250 euros for 5 to 8, 125 for nine to 16.
The tournament starts on Friday 2 with the opening ceremony at 13.30. The group stage will start at 14.00, four rounds are played on Friday. Final rounds are scheduled for Saturday, the quarterfinals Sunday at 10:00 am, the semi-finals at 12.00 and the final at 15.00.
