BC Munchen takes the lead in bundesliga

Frédéric Caudron, two victories, one tim 40 in 11 innings

MUNICH - The team BC Munich is the leader in the bundesliga after four rounds of competition. BC Elversberg is one point down. Two away matches yielded two victories for Munich: GT Buer was defeated 6-2, the same score on Sunday against Bottroper. Caudron played the best match in the double weekend: 40 in 11 innings.

Lütfi Cenet and Kostas Papakonstantinou were the excellent leaders for the Munich team and also Johan Schirmbrand could look back on a great weekend. Cenet bested both Christian Rudolph (40-30 in 25) and Stefan Galla 40-37 in 32. The Greek Papakonstantinou took victories over Frank Martens (40-32 in 29) and Dustin Jäschke 40-30 in 29. Schirmbrand shone with victories over Francis Forton (40-17 in 29) and Stefan Hetzel (40-30 in 41).

BC Elversberg fell one point behind, because the team played a 4-4 against Krefeld. Ramazan Durdu and Gerwin Valentijn (against Philipoom, 40-27) scored for Krefeld in 38 and 37 innings. Frédéric Caudron scored for Elversberg against Thorsten Frings 40-22 in 22. The Belgian led his team on Saturday to an 8-0 victory over Velbert. Caudron played in the best match in the double round by beating Henk Habraken: 40-14 in 11. Bosel won in 18, Philipoom in 29 and Marx in 58 innings.

Bergisch Gladbach gathered three match points in the double weekend. With Torbjörn Blomdahl as captain, against Frings (40-16 in 25) the title holder played a 4-4 draw against Krefeld including draws for Barry van Beers against Nikos Polychronopoulos (38 innings) and Gökmen against Raspel (in 47). Bergisch won on Saturday against Velbert 6-2: only Polychronopoulos lost to Eddy Meckx 40-37 in 21. Christiani, Eggers and Raspel won for Bergisch.

Dick Jaspers excelled with Magdeburg on Saturday against Witten (5-3) with a match against Savas Bulut (40-9) in 17 innings. Dion Nelin defeated Kenny Miatton 40-21 in 18. The Magdeburgers thanked the full win to Markus Schönhof who played a draw against Ronny Lindemann in 37 innings.

Bottroper recorded a 8-0 victory against BSV Munich by Christian Rudolph, who won in 23, Jean van Erp in 24, Anno de Kleine in 32 and Dustin Jaschke in 19 innings.
