Stefan Galla had a great match: he outplayed Torbjörn Blomdahl

BERGISCH/KREFELD - Bergisch Gladbach, the leader in the German bundesliga, took two points on its main pursuer BC Munich this Saturday. The number one contender itself defeated GT Buer 5-3, despite a striking appearance of the brothers Galla. BC Munich made a misstep in Krefeld: 6-2 loss.

Stefan and Markus Galla troubled the Bergisch frontrunners in the match for the eighteenth round. Stefan Galla defeated Torbjörn Blomdahl 40-27 in 27 innings, Markus Galla played a draw in a very poor match against Martin Horn, 40-40 in 47 innings. Bergisch eventually took the win by Nick Polychronopoulos (40-31 in 28 against Stefan Hetzel) and Jens Eggers (40-17 in 24 against Uwe Kerls).

BC Munich lost in Krefeld partly because Thorsten Frings outplayed Marco Zanetti (40-30 in 23) and and excellent Barry Beers and Orhan Eroğul grabbed the win against Johan Schirmbrand (40-19 in 15) and Christos Christodokidis (40-36 in 36). Dani Sánchez recorded the only gain for Munich: 40-31 in 22.

BC Magdeburg got the better of BCC Witten 6-2. The two leaders took a two average win. Dick Jaspers against Eddy Leppens (40-31), Markus Schönhoff against Ronny Lindemann (40-14).

Today, Sunday, the leaders are back in action.
