In other team competitions, like Belgium, France and Germany, no decision has yet been taken about finishing the leagues. The expectations surely are that there will be no matches for the time being. The organizations in Belgium, Germany and France have postponed the decisions.

The KNBB (Netherlands), by national chairman Garmt Kolhorn, was the first to announce the final decision on 1 April about the team competition and the cup final. The remaining 7 games in the Buffalo League will not be played anymore. All the other divisions, with a total of 245 teams, have also been stopped. The cup competition, for which the final was scheduled with 8 teams in Bericum, the date of June 1 has been set for the remaining rounds to be played. The cup final eventually might be played with 16 teams in a knock-out. The organization BEN also expects a decision before 1st of June about the European championship that is scheduled in Berlicum right after the cup final from June 30 to July 4.

Hans de Bruin from the three-cushion section: ''We have considered all options and made our decision. The cancellation of the competitions, with the Buffalo league as the spearhead, was inevitable, because after the delay that we are facing, we will not been able to finish all matches. That means, the season is over and out. All that remains are the averages played in the current competitions.''

The competitions in other countries, like Germany, Belgium and France, have not yet been definitely cancelled. The federation boards are still in conclave.

The Belgian league in the top class, where Biljart Express and BC Deurne are the leaders, has played 17 and 18 rounds and has three and four rounds still to play. Boards member Robert Monnissen: ''We spoke about the situation last Monday and decided to make the final decision on May 3. Then, we will oversee the situation and the expectations. We receive a lot of requests from players to finish the competitions in September for the sake of our billiard cafes and sponsors. That could be an option.''

The Belgian Cup final, which is scheduled for May 16/17, has already been cancelled. There is an option to to play the final in September. The lower divisions are told that the competition could be completed if the locations are allowed to reopen mid-June.

The German league, where BC Munich is the leader in the bundesliga, is 12 and 13 matches underway with a total of ten teams. The decision about the new start has not yet been taken. DBU president Helmut Biermann: ''We are surely not allowed to play for the time being. The DBU board and other sports officials are constantly speaking about alternatives, but nothing has been decided until now.''

The French billiard federation has postponed the decision for two weeks. The leaders in the top league are Kozoom and Morangis in Group A and Laxou and St. Quentin in Group B. The option is to play the final with these four teams and possibly move the schedule to September or October.
