Caudron-Jaspers, Blomdahl-Zanetti

LAUSANNE - The number one in the world, Torbjörn Blomdahl, will play in the semi-finals of the Lausanne Billard Masters against Marco Zanetti. Dick Jaspers is the opponent of Frédéric Caudron.

Blomdahl finished as first in his group after a win against Dick Jaspers in his last match. The Swede faced a pretty poor opponent, whom he beat 40-25 in 22 innings. Jaspers ran only one three, it was his highest run in the match.
 
The Dutchman could not find his concentration and even got disturbed by a photographer outside the arena. He only led at the start of the match (15-14 in 8).
 
Blomdahl showed himself the best with small runs and a better final sprint.
 
Martin Horn won the match against Rene Hendriksen at the other table 40-21 (29).
 
Torbjörn Blomdahl closed the preliminaries with the highest average of the four finalists: the Swede recorded 1.818 after three matches. Dick Jaspers finished with 1.693, Frédéric Caudron 1.677 and Marco Zanetti 1.642.
 
Tonight at 19.00, Horn and Bury play for 5th place, Hendriksen and Boulaz for 7th place, followed by the semi finals at 21.30.
