Raymond Ceulemans (83) and Ludo Dielis (75) won their matches in Belgians team league

BRUGES/LIER - The Belgian three cushion league for teams, in which five teams have played two matches so far and three teams not yet one match, is led by the teams of Mr. 100 Lier and KBC Brugse after two match days. The Ceulemans foursome, in which Raymond had to replace his grandson Bart and Marco Janssen played instead of Jerry Hermans, won 6-2 against De Leug. The Bruges team was the better of KBC Kortrijk 6-2. After Kay de Zwart's run of 17 on the first matchday, Luc Royberghs from Biljartpalace was the best scoring player with a run of 10 now. The nice detail on this matchday: 83-year-old Raymond Ceulemans and 75-year-old Ludo Dielis are still able to win matches in the main Belgian division.

Raymond Ceulemans made clear that he is the perfect substitute for the team of which he was the figurehead for many years. The maestro recorded an important victory against Brian Vangenechten (42-13 in 35). Peter Ceulemans and Marco Janssen were excellent winners with 50 in 35 and 42 in 28 innings. Johan Loncelle showed up as the only winner for his team against Kurt Ceulemans: 50-34 in 35. Bart Ceulemans was absent, because he had to wait for the result of a (negative) Corona test. Jerry Hermans stayed home because he became a father last week.

The delayed start of Op de Meir resulted in it's own room in a draw against BC Den Eik in their own hall, led by Roland Uijtdewillegen with a comfortable and excellent victory over Richard Bitalis (42-12 in 20). Peter De Backer against Jean van Erp was a fascinating match, in which the Belgian finished the winner 50-45 in 29 innings. Davy van Havere defeated Barry van Beers, who obviously started the season with a form crisis: 50-30 in 45 innings. The tie for BC Den Eik came on the score thanks to a victory for the still feared Ludo Dielis: 42-22 in 39 innings against Ivan Stitschinsky.

The West Flemish derby between Bruges and Kortrijk turned out into a victory for the Bruges home team, based on strong matches of Steven van Acker (who beat Ronny Brants 50-49 in 33) and Henk Blauwblomme with a win over Martin Ravestyn: 42-34 in 29. Koen Saver beat Frédéric Beghin in 40 innings and Philippe Vandendriesche was the only winner for Kortrijk against Bart Leys 50-39 in 39.

TBA Biljartpalace took a nice victory in the away match against De Witte Molen with a win of Kay de Zwart against Dirk Weeremans (50-47 in 58), Frank Martens against Francis Forton (50-43 in 38) and Luc Royberghs against Ad Broeders (42 -41 in 48). The young Dutchman Sam van Etten was the only winner for the 'Mill guys' with 42-35 (46) against Ronny Daniels.
