Torbjörn Blomdahl lost his title, outplayed by Javier Palazón

BRANDENBURG - Two reigning champions were knocked out on the second day at the European championships three cushion in Brandenburg. The European champion Torbjörn Blomdahl lost his title, eliminated by Javier Palazón (40-37 in 20). Dani Sánchez, the world champion, lost without a chance to Adnan Yüksel 40-26 in 19.

Marco Zanetti impressed with a 17-run in the first sessions of the day when he defeated Murat Naci Coklu. Dick Jaspers, the world's number one, was a bridge too far for Raimond Burgman, 40-16 in 24. Frédéric Caudron defeated Jérémy Bury 40-18 in 18 and Eddy Leppens outplayed his countryman Eddy Merckx with 40-34.

As a result, many favorites are already out of the game in Brandenburg coming up to the quarter finals, played at 18:00.
