BAD WILDUNGEN - Christian Rudolph from the Bottroper Billard Academy is the new German champion three-cushion. Volker Marx (Elversberg) and Dustin Jäschke (Bottrop) completed the stage as the number three.

Best player in the quarterfinals was Dustin Jäschke, who defeated Hakan Celik in 25 innings (40-27). In the semifinals however, the young German was defeated by his teammate Christian Rudolph 40-28 in 37.
Andreas Niehaus bested Volker Marx in the semis: 40-34 in 37.

The best German player, Martin Horn was missing because of his participation at the Lausanne Billard Masters.

Thomas Wildförster, the former European champion in 1982 and 1984, won the championship one cushion. He won the final against Carsten Lässig 100-53 in 12 innings. The defending champion Dieter Steinberger missed the final: he played in the semi-final a draw against Lässig (100-100 in 16) and was eliminated in the extension.

Wildförster just needed nine innings in the semis against Uwe Matusak.
Sven Daske, the double winner in the balklines, could not reach semi-finals. In the third group match he lost against Carsten Lässig 92-90 in the maximum 20 innings.
