Dani Sánchez, in an amazing form playing for Palma

PALMA - On the second day of the team competition in Spain, Dani Sánchez was the player in the spotlights. The Palma team captain beat José Luis Pascual 40-17 in 11 innings (3,636 and a run of 12) and showed his amazing form. Three teams lead the league with two wins (Móstoles, Palma and Castalla).

Palma beat Gandía 6-2 in a clash with two draws between Montes and Verdú on the one hand and Garriga and Ausias Fuster on the other. In the match of the numbers one, Dani Sánchez turned his match against José Luis Pascual into a pure spectacle. Carlos Crespo defeated Francisco Estruch. The result suggests that the island team can make a run at the title, which it won three seasons ago.

Móstoles, the eternal title contender, beat Matadepera 6-2. Rubén Legazpi was the best of the Madrid players and beat his former teammate José María Más in 24 innings (40-21). Adrián and Alfonso Legazpi completed the win for Móstoles with victories in 28 and 30 innings.

The young Castalla team also wants to make history. Two games and two wins, this time in Cartagena against Casino and without being able to count on the stars of the team. The result, 3-5 for the Alicante team with victories for Jesús Rico and Andrés Carrión. Iván Mayor's draw against Mario Mercader tipped the balance in Castalla's favour. Carlos Anguita scored the only victory for Cartagena.

Granollers and Madrid Escuela Nacional shared the points in a clash in which the Madrid team scored points on tables 1 and 2 with Robinson Morales and Belgian Philipoom.

Points were also shared in the Valencian derby, in which Paiporta came closest to victory. Pañalva and Avallone were the local winners, a great Toni Ortiz (2,000) and a brilliant Dani Peña, making his debut in Paiporta's quartet, were the best of the competition.
