The Koreans are second with their A-team ahead of Germany B and Belgium B. The quarter final matches, determined according to the ranking, are:

Germany A reached the final by two draws, against Egypt and the Czech Republic. Martin Horn lost both matches, against Martin Bohac and young Egyptian Sameh Sidhom 40-35 in 23 innings.
The German B team eliminated Spain in the group, among others thanks Torsten Frings' draw against Dani Sánchez (40-40 in 39). Ronny Lindemann defeated Ruben Legazpi 40-36 in 29 innings.
