LILLE - The final of the European championship will be played between Therese Klompenhouwer and Danielle le Bruijn. The Dutch/Belgian meeting started at 15.00 this afternoon in Euralille. The match will be played to the best of three sets and to eleven caroms.
Therese Klompenhouwer reached the final in a great performance. She beat her compatriot Karina Jetten 2-0 and an average over one (12-3 in 9 innings, 12-9 in 7).
Danielle le Bruijn needed a decisive third set to defeat the Austrian Helga Mitterböck. The Belgian lost the first set 12-9 in 21 innings, won the second 7-4 in 25 and took the victory in the third: 12-7 in 17 innings.
