Peter Ceulemans defeated the new Spanish champion Antonio Ortiz.

TRABZON - Eddy Leppens has to fix a tough job in his second match for the World Cup tonight. The Belgian, at the last World championship the number two, lost his match with Murat Tüzül this afternoon and must gain his second to stay in the tournament. Leppens and Tüzül played a match on high level. The Turk had a blazing endrush. He won 2-1, Tüzül played an average of 1.842, Leppens 1.833.

Raimond Burgman can pick his stuff again after his first match, because in his second he will only play for the honor. The Dutchman was beaten by Andreas Efler 2-0, the Austrian had lost his first match 2-1 and is therefore already better with his set score than Burgman, even if Burgman wins 2-0 in his second game.

Roland Forthomme started well with a solid 2-0 on Mehmet Aksoy and already in his first innings a run of nine. Nikos Polychronopoulos made a very end to the expectations of Therese Klompenhouwer. The Greek defeated the Dutch lady 2-0 (15-1 and 15-7). De Bruijn and Polychronopoulos later will play for the win in the group. Klompenhouwer finished her second day with a general average of 0.625.

Peter Ceulemans just defeated the new Spanish champion Antonio Ortiz 2-0 (15-11 in 12, 15-10 in 7).
