The European championships in 2015 will be played from 24th April to 3 May

BOTTROP The last Board Meeting of the European federation, CEB, has launched the date for the European championship in 2015. The tournament, in Brandenburg an der Havel, will take place from 24th April to 3 May. The championship's program and timetables will be edited by a CEB Commission and published on time as a basis for planning.

As decided at the CEB General Assembly, rules for equal innings in three cushion will be adapted to be the same as the UMB rules.

For the classic disciplines, visual representation of the average speed of the players will be applied in Brandenburg. The system has already been tested in Ronchin, France, successfully with technical support from Kozoom.

At the next EC, 5 pins individual will be played with 64 players instead of 44 and with the same tournament-system as three cushion championships, so more athletes will be able to participate in the EC.
The match distance is increased to 60 points.

Helmut Biermann was unanimously appointed as the CEB new General Secretary. Johny Houtsch will support him in the future and also take on special duties in the administration of the CEB.

Taking into account the proposals received by the federations, the Board has appointed two commissions:

New 5 pins commission:
Gabrio Volante (CEB); Geneviève Kercret (FFB); Orazio Aime (FSB); Harry  Inderhees (DBU);
Ulisse Calzi (FiBis); Julian Mortensen (DDBU); Johny Houtsch (FLAB)

New Youth Commission:
Jean-Louis Steuts (CEB); Louis Edelin (FFB); Did Schintgen (FLAB ); Cees Benschop (KNBB).
