Europeans under 25 for the championship in Spain

French player Gwendal Maréchal is among the big contenders

MURCIA - The European championship for players under 25 will be played in Los Alcazares, Spain, with a number of big names. The tournament is on the calendar for 17-19 December. A field of 32 players is invited divided over eight groups of four players. The best known names are Gwendal Maréchal, Ivan Mayor, Alessio D'Agata, Nikolaus Kogelbauer, Tom Löwe, Maxime Panaia, Enzo Riquart, Stef van Hees, Mario Mercades, Ali Ibraimov, Nathan Duriez and Dimitrios Seleventas.

Dutch champion Joris van 't Zelfden, Maxime Panaia, Tom Löwe and Nick Dudink are players who were among the players in the World Cup in Veghel last week. Ali Ibraimov became German junior champion a week ago.

The group format for the European Championships was announced today.

Group E: Ivan Mayor (Spain), Simon Blondeel (Germany), Björn Jensen (Denmark), Joris van 't Zelfden (Netherlands)
Group F: Nikolaus Kogelbauer (Austria), Ali Ibraimov (Germany), Christos Falangas (Greece), Nick Rosier (Belgium)
