Filippos Kasidokostas in the stands in Luxor. The Greek will not return to the arena due to a painful arm

LUXOR - Filippos Kasidokostas will not return to the Luxor World Cup tomorrow (Wednesday). The Greek former world champion, who advanced as group winner, withdrew from participation because of his painful right arm. His place is taken by the Turk Ahmet Alp, who was the first reserve.

The injury on the right arm is a problem for Filippos Kasidokostas, and it has been for a long time. The Greek was treated to stop the vibration of the right arm, made his international comeback at the Luxor World Cup, but is unable to continue playing after one day.

Today, in his match against the Turk Ahmet Bayatli, Kasidokostas played the second half with his left arm. He told insiders after the match that the pain is too much and he would therefore withdraw from the tournament.

Ahmet Alp plays against Ihab El Messery at 10.00 tomorrow and will later face another former world champion, Sung-Won Choi.

The Turkish player Ahmet Alp will replace Kasidokostas. He plays against Sung-Won Choi and Ihab El Messery on the last day of the qualifications
