SCHILTIGHEIM - What would Eddy Merckx have earned if he had play the world match, which he played in Germany on Saturday (50 caroms in 6 innings, run of 26) in the upcoming main event of the Agipi Masters? The sum can be made quickly:

10,000 euros for the world record best match
1000 for a run over 20
500 euros for a match less than 20 innings
500 euros for a winning match

That makes a total amount of 12.000 euros, that would have meant that the Belgian was one of the big money makers in Agipi. For his match in the bundesliga Merckx just received his normal fee from his team. On Tuesday evening he was rewarded with flowers and a few bottles of wine in the Belgian league for his club Quality Zele before the game against Martin Horn. That's not su much as in Agipi'', he smiled, ,,but nevertheless I'm very happy with that match on Saturday'', he said.

The prize schedule for the 2011/2012 Agipi Masters has been announced this week. The winner of the tournament receives 20.000 euros, the loser of the final 8.000, the losers of the semi-finals 3.000, the losers of the quarter-finas 1.500.

Players who win a match in the final group (40 matches in total) earn 500 euros, for a tie 375, for a lost game 250. There is a bonus of 450 euros for qualification.

In the qualifying matches (36 in total) the winners earn 300 euros, for a tie 225 for a lost match 150.

For high runs: ten and more: 500; 15 and more: 750 euros, twenty and more: 1000.

For a match in less than 20 innings: 500 euros.
To improve the world records: highest run (28): 10,000 euros. Best match (6 innings): 10,000.

For the tournament records:
Highest run: 23 or more: 2500.
Best match: 11 innings or less: 2500.
