BLANKENBERGE - Who will be the successor of Frédéric Caudron in the balk-line 47/2, the discipline in which the man who was thirteen times the best of Belgium from 1990 is missing this year. The best all-rounder in the world has been started in four disciplines this year, where he participated for many years in all the games.

Eddy Leppens, Philippe Deraes and Patrick Niessen are the prime candidates to take over the title, although Niessen missed his start by a loss against Leppens (300-131).

Johan Claessen gathered, of the two other participants, three points in three games, Johan Devos can't play a role in the title race after two losses.

Today (Thursday) there is only one match in this discipline: Eddy Leppens meets Johan Devos tonight (17.30).
