PARIS/ANDERNOS - The French team three cushion championship is entering its first round this week in Group A and Group B: eight teams are divided into two groups. Today, Thursday, in Group A the matches are Laxou-Soissons, which will be broadcast live as of 17.30. Friday (1 October) in Group A Douarnenez plays against Andernos from 17.00, including the match between Dick Jaspers and Gwendal Maréchal.

In Group B, the matches Morangis-Courbevoie and Kozoom-Saint Quentin are in action today, Thursday, with a number of Belgian players. The Kozoom match against Saint Quentin, in the Kozoom studios, can be seenlive from 16.00 o'clock.
The top billings in Group B includes attractive matches. Eddy Merckx plays with Morangis the revenge match of the Kozoom Challenge Cup against Ruben Legazpi. Roland Forthomme plays the Belgian clash against Peter Ceulemans. Nikos Polychronopoulos meets the Belgian Johan Loncelle.
Belgians Peter Ceulemans and Johan Loncelle are playing for the first full season in the Saint Quentin team. Peter Ceulemans: ''We also started to play in that line-up last season, but then the season stopped after one match.''
Ceulemans and Loncelle have made excellent starts in other countries. Peter Ceulemans finished first of all leading players in the team league in Spain with 1,500 on average. He played three matches in the Netherlands and Belgium so far and won them all. Johan Loncelle defeated among others Jean Paul de Bruijn in the Netherlands last Sunday and won against Jean van Erp in Belgium last week.
