KOZOOM - Many billiard fans in the world have reached the end of the summer holidays and are facing a new start. The Kimchi Superprestige in Belgium is the first major event on the calendar and the team competitions in different countries are also close to the start. In international billiards, we can say there is no summer break for players and fans. In the last two months, the 3CC World Masters in Seoul, the Verhoeven Open in New York and the McCreery Champion of Champions tournaments were held with a prize money near to 1 million dollars.
The professional players have little time to take a rest in the run-up to the national competitions in the European countries and the next major tournaments. The first Kozoom LIVE event after the summer is traditionally the Belgian Kimchi Superprestige, organized by Eddy Leppens and his team, followed by the LG U+ Cup in Seoul, where the invited players start the battle for big prizes. The defending champion is Marco Zanetti, who won the tournament in Seoul with 2.735 average last year.
The month of September is reserved on the calendar for two world championships. The ladies and the juniors compete for the world title in Turkish Izmir. The world championship with the world's best players will be helt in the first week of October. Frédéric Caudron defends his world title in Cairo at the foot of the pyramids.
At least two tournaments are coming up in the World Cup cycle. The events in La Baule and Hurghada have been confirmed, a tournament in Korea should follow soon. A date is already reserved on the UMB calendar. The next tournament in the 3CC World Masters is waiting for a location. The Ceulemans Continental Cup will be held in December. With the abundance of new tournaments, this battle between Europe and Asia promises a lot of spectacle and tension. The French wine city of Bordeaux is the stage for this premiere.
Ten tournaments, world cups and world championships will be broadcast LIVE by Kozoom to the end of the year. In addition, there are LIVE streams from the competitions in the Netherlands and France. The billiard are spoiled by a richly filled program with many high-level events.
