Gérassimopoulos winner in Cestas

The winner Nicolas Gérassimopoulos in the middle

CESTAS - Nicolas Gérassimopoulos has won this season's first national tournament in balk-line 47/2. The specialist in this game type defeated Brahim Djoubri in the final 250-73 in three innings. The tournament was played in Cestas, almost in the backyard of the winner from Andernos.

The final winner defeated successively Renaud Berrin (4 innings), Eric Chossande (7) and Johann Petit (4) and played his last two games in three sessions: in the semifinals against Yannick Gregam and against Djoubri in the final.

Gérassimopoulos recorded the best overall average 59.52.

Brahim Djoubri finished second with 33.53. He won his quarter-final against the French champion Olivier Careaux after a draw in five innings and then defeated Willy Gérimont 250-236 in seven innings. The Ronchin player shone a run of 286.

The podium was completed by Yannick Gregam with 23.35 average.
