Glenn Hofman won the bronze medal in a strong match vs Kyung Roul Kim

CALI – The young Dutch player Glenn Hoffman has captured the bronze medal in a strong last match at the World Games in Cali. In the battle for the podium place in three cushion, Hofman, who can be seen as the revelation of the tournament, beat the experienced Korean Kyung-Roul Kim 40-14 in 13 innings (average 3.077).

The final of the tournament is a fight between Eddy Merckx and Marco Zanetti.

Glenn Hoffman lost in the semifinals to World champion Merckx 40-22 in 23 innings, after a sensational win against his compatriot Dick Jaspers in the quarterfinals.

In the match for bronze against Kyung Roul Kim, the talented Dutchman started off like a rocket: he led 20-2 after 7 innings. Then he ran away to 32-11 in 12 and finished in the next inning with eight.

Tonight, Tuesday, at 13.00 (20.00 GMT) is the final between Marco Zanetti and Eddy Merckx.
