Glenn Hofmann beats rival Melnytschenko

ZELE - Glenn Hofmann's victory in the duel with another young player, Céderic Melnytschenko, decided about BC Quality Zele's win against Koninklijke Kortrijkse BC. Hofman won by small margin (42-39), both players played a good average: the Dutchman 1.400, the Frenchman 1.300.

Peter de Backer and Jean Paul de Bruijn took the maximum points after the break for Zele beating Ronny Brants and Henk Blauwblomme. De Backer was by far the better player against Brants (50-36 in 33), an average of 1.515 and a highest run of ten. De Bruijn was slightly less (1.219).

BC Kasteeldreef even couldn't  beat Op de Meir, the team at the bottom of the ranking, because the two players befor the break lost their matches. Peter Duytschaever and Piet Rodts played far below their normal level against Kees Wittens and Tom Persijn.

The two other players in the team saved one point. Frédéric Caudron beat Wim van Cromvoirt (50-27 in 30) and Eddy Leppens won his match against Rudy de Laet (50 to 37 in 27).
