The reigning champion Haeng Jik Kim defends his title in Spain

PADRE JUAN - The World championship three cushion for juniors will be played in the Spanish town Padre Juan this year. The Korean triple title holder Haeng Jik Kim defends his title. His main rivals are the Spaniards David Zapata (European Champion) and David Martinez and Korean Ji Hoon Sun.

The tournament will be played with sixteen players: the reigning champion, the European champion, seven CEB players, four from South America, three from Asia and a wildcard for the organization.

Haeng Jik Kim was supposed to make a long stop in his career because of his military service in Korea, but he also played in the Suwon World Cup and is now allowed to participate in the World championship.

The European champion David Zapata is seen as a great competitor in his own country, considering the high averages he played at the European championships and in other main tournaments.

The tournament will be held in the Centro Civicio Principe Asturias in Padre Juan close to Murcia.

The sixteen participants are:
Titleholder Haeng Jik Kim (Korea), European champion David Zapata (Spain).
For the CEB: David Martinez (Sp), Ahmed Hatem (Egy), Omer Karakurt (Tur), Raymon Great (Neth) Joao Pedro Ferreira (Por), Matthieu Franck (Fra).
For South America: Willian Villanueva (Ven), Jose Garcia (Col), Pedro Reyes and Manuel Lindao (Ecu).
For Asia: Junn Tae Kim (Kor), Sun Ji Hoon (Kor), Yusuke Mori (Japan).
Wildcard Spanish organization: Sergio Aparicio.
