Haeng Jik Kim showed his immense talent in the preliminaries of the Masters.

He is already the threefold junior world champion, but the breakthrough in the world of the great champions in three cushion never can be far away. Haeng Jik Kim is the biggest talent, he demonstrated his high class this evening in the deciding match against Roland Forthomme in his group.

Haeng Jik won 50-35 in 25 innings and finished as the glorious winner of the group. Roland Forthomme was depending on the match between Eddy Leppens and Jung-Han Heo at that moment. The Korean beat his Belgian opponent, that's why Forthomme was seeded as the second of the group.

Haeng Jik Kim and Roland Forthomme played a match in which the 19-year old Korean first took the lead after a run of nine (23-6), but the match got his tension again after a run of eleven for Forthomme in the eleventh inning.

The revival was for short, because Kim showed his great form and confidence in the final innings. He defeated Forthomme 50-35 in 25 innings.

Roland Forthomme took a seat high in the stands after his match to watch the outcome of the encounter at the other table between Leppens and Heo. The Korean knew he had no more chances to seed due to his average, but he could give Forthomme the ticket for the next round by beating Leppens.

,,We went together to 41-41'', said Leppens, who has some bad luck in the Agipi Masters for years. ,,Heo made an impossible ball, then a lucky ball and a small run of five or six. Then he finished and I had no more chance to fight back.''

Heo won the match 50-41 and opened the door for Forthomme to the next qualification round.
