THE HAGUE/HAARLO - The advantage of the SIS Schoonmaak team is again increased by one point in the Dutch team league. The team is three points ahead now in the Buffalo league, facing three top matches at the end of this year: Bousema, L&B Ledermode and just before Christmas the top match against HCR Prinsen.
Two of these three opponents suffered a one-point loss in the eighth round, not at least because Prinsen and Ledermode missed the top players Dick Jaspers, Eddy Merckx and Eddy Leppens due to tournaments in Korea.
Dick Jaspers celebrated a big success in the far east. His team played against L & B Ledermode in a match that was at 2-2 half way and in which the two matches of the leaders ended in a draw. Dave Christiani equalled for L&B with a late run of eight against Anno de Kleine (in 32 innings), Jelle Pijl shared the match points with Peter De Backer.
Bousema Lochem took in a moderate match the points against Hartje van Wanrooy. The Galla brothers took the 5-3 win in the second part by hard-won gains on Spoormans and Broeders in 49 and 45 innings.
SIS Schoonmaak could run out by a 7-1 victory over STZ Zundert. Only Peter Ceulemans realized a draw for his team including an early run of ten against Jean van Erp. The other three SIS players won their match. Glenn Hoffman was victorious against Roland Forthomme (40-33 in 27), Raimond Burgman and Jeffrey Jorissen beat the Van Beers brothers in 23 and 26 innings.
Birol Uymaz led the A1 Biljarts team to a 6-2 win over Burgmans Biljarts. 't Ivoor won the home game against Dallinga.com 6-2 and Team Eekhoorn took the full win in the away match against Aardexpress (6-2) where Ronny Lindemann, who defeated Frans van Kuyk, was the best winner in the Dutch league in 18 innings.
