Horster Eck grabs title on final day

Ronny Lindemann, best player on final day in the bundesliga

ESSEN - The title holder BF Horster Eck has prolonged the league championship on the final day. Two victories, on Saturday and on Sunday, were enough to end up as first in the rankings. Horster Eck gathered 27 points in eighteen matches and finished before BCC Witten with 26, BA Bottroper with 24 and BSG Duisburg with 19.
 
BSV Velbert and BF Fehrbach are the numbers nine and ten in the field of ten and couldn't maintain in the highest league. BC Magdeburg, with Dick Jaspers on the final day, played safe with a 6-2 victory against Bottroper.
 
Horster Eck took the title thanks to victories over Fehrbach (8-0) and Elversberg (6-2) in the final weekend. Martin Horn lost one match in the double weekend. He was defeated by Johann Schirmbrandt. The other three players in the team won two matches.


Kim HaengJik Sunday was the best man with 50 points in 22 innings. Thorsten Frings and Markus Dömer remained unbeaten.
 
BCC Witten was the main competitor until the final day. With Eddy Leppens, Stefan Galla and especially Ronny Lindemann in the main role the number two won 8-0 and 6-2 against Elversberg and Fehrback. Lindemann played 2.000 average on Saturday and even 2.222 on Sunday.

Horster Eck performed on Saturday with Torbjörn Blomdahl and Martin Horn on one and two, on Sunday with Martin Horn and HaengJik Kim.
