What is the opposite of a pokerface?

Marco Zanetti won the LG U+ Cup with a general average of 2.735. That may not be a world record, but it is amongst the highest ever played. Here are a few memorable tournament averages for you to look back on:

2.049. Raymond Ceulemans, Ghent 1980. In this invitational, Mr. 100 was the first player to break the 2.000 barrier, winning 5 matches to 50 points in 122 innings.

2.204. Torbjörn Blomdahl was the first to do it in a World Cup: he won the BWA Tokyo event (sets) making 194 in 88.

2.384. Frédéric Caudron, Emblem 2016. A Belgian invitational tournament with handicap. Caudron of course had the maximum points to make: 60. He won all his matches and produced 360 points in 151 innings. There are very few tournaments to 60 these days, so who is going to break this record?

2.420. Frédéric Caudron, Vienna 2011. This is still a world record, because the format in this World Cup was sets of 15. Could also be in the books for a long time.

2.500. Marco Zanetti, Brandenburg 2013. This was Marco's European title, with that unforgettable semifinal against Caudron (who ran 28!).

2.622. Dick Jaspers, Crystal Kelly tournament 2011. Another world record, it's the best tournament average to 50 points. DJ lost to Kasidokostas (49-50), won his five other matches and made 299 pts in 114 innings.

2.735. Marco Zanetti, LG Cup 2017. MZ lost 38-40 to Jaspers in the group stage, drew 40-40 against Jung Han Heo and won his other four matches (Sung Won Choi, Jaspers, Caudron, Hong) making 238 in 87.

2.739. Torbjörn Blomdahl, Peloponnese 2013. TB played 5, won 5 (one in a shootout), and made 200 in 73. He beat Forthomme, Heo, Tran, Kasidokostas and Legazpi.

2.739. Dani Sánchez, Guri 2015. Equaling TB's performance of 200 in 73, Dani had to beat Coklu, D.K. Kang, Merckx, Jaspers and Tasdemir.

2.777. Dani Sánchez, Luxor 2017. The current World Cup record, Dani played 5, won 5, made 200 in 72, against Nady, Coklu, Poly, Tasdemir and Jaspers.

2.790. Caudron, Dampremy 2016. A Belgian Grand Prix, where Fred played 6, won 6 and made 240 in 86. He beat Mangelinckx, Mottet, Miatton, Forton, Leppens and Merckx.
