Muhammed, a student at the Sidi Gaber Language School in Alexandria, kept his promises this weekend: he won the junior championship. ,,I am so proud that I could do it,'' he said after winning the title, which he took in an unbeaten race.

Muhammed wants to come into his father’s golden steps, he said. Ihab the history, Muhammed future, that’s the family’s motto.

In the championship Muhammed remained six matches without a loss. The toughest game was against Ahmed Hatem in the group stage: a 25-25 draw. He met the same player in the final and won 35-34.

Muhammed recorded 0.600 overall average, played his best match with 0.700, his highest run was eight.

His mother was his main fan, together with his younger brother Ahmed. Muhammed qualified for the World junior championship in Athens by winning the title. The WC starts at 3 October.

The son of 'Alexandria Sports Club', of which Muhammed is a member, is ready for the World’s in Alexander the Great’s country. ,,I will use the upcoming three months to prepare for the championship in Athens.’’
