The winner of the qualifications for the Survival, In-Won Kang

SEOUL - Korean player In-won Kang finished as the winner of the qualifications for the Survival 3 Cushion Masters. The tournament was played this week with 104 Koreans, fighting for eight places in the main tournament of the Survival, which starts on Thursday and lasts until Sunday. The top 20 players of the world ranking and four wildcards were automatically seeded.

In addition, eight players from the pre-selection, which was played in the Emblem Billiard Club in Yeoksam-dong, are joining the final players. In-Won Kang, the winner, who played competitions in Germany and the Netherlands in his younger years, comes to action in his second Survival Masters later this week. In June this year, Kang received a wildcard and made it to the final round in the second last Survival. In the semi-finals he was second behind Dick Jaspers, in the final, In-Won Kang finished fourth after the winner of the Survival, Dick Jaspers and Kang's compatriots Jung-Han Heo and Jae-Ho Cho.

The players who qualified for the main draw in this week's Survival are:
In-Won Kang, Seo Sam-Il, Jung Seun-Il, Kim Hyun-Suk, Kim Min-seok, Kim Hui-dong, Ahn Ji-hoon and 21-year old Jang Dae-Hyun, second at the 2018 Junior world championship following Myung-Woo Cho and from the same sponsor club as Eddy Merckx.
