Jacob Haack Sörensen secured the title in a final match with Brian Zola

ODENSE Jacob Haack-Sørensen, 50 year of age, has won the Danish championship three cushion in Odense this weekend. He proofed strongest throughout the tournament in the club where his career took off, some 30 years ago. In a thrilling final match against Brian Zola, which ended 50-50 in 42 innings, a 5-1 shoot-out secured him his 5th championship, the latest won 18 years ago!

Previously, the semifinals on Sunday showed some excellent billard when Brian Zola defeated Brian Knudsen 50-46 in 33 innings and Jacob Haack-Sørensen defeated Dion Nelin 50-34 in 26 innings.

The group stage did not result in major upsets, the 'usual suspects' qualified for the quarterfinals.

Haack-Sørensen showed his great skills in the second group game, scoring 50 points in 17 innings against Allan Keith. Highest run of 14 was scored by Brian Zola in the first inning of his quarterfinal against Thomas Andersen.

The new Danish champion averaged 1,570 in total.

Jacob Haack-Sørensen - Allan Schrøder: 50-47 in 31 innings.
Brian Knudsen - Allan Keith : 50-22 in 32.
Brian Zola - Thomas Andersen : 50 - 34 in 31.
Dion Nelin - Tonny Carlsen : 50 - 43 in 26.
