Markus Schönhoff played his best match ever in the bundesliga

BERGISCH GLADBACH - Bergisch Gladbacher did not manage to take the lead in the bundesliga. BCC Witten, the current leader, made a little misstep (4-4) on Saturday, when Gladbach won its match against Neustadt. But on Sunday, Martin Horn’s team lost against BC Magdeburg 6-2.

Dick Jaspers, Markus Schönhoff and Christian Zöllner defeated the runner-up in its own home 6-2. Jaspers, who already glittered on Sunday with a 40-13 win in fifteen innings against his compatriot Frank Martens, defeated his former teammate Martin Horn in an even better match on Sunday (40-32 in 12).

The Dutch team captain and his German opponent matched up until 20-20 in eight innings. Then Jaspers broke away including a run of twelve. Horn replied with ten, but could not threaten Jaspers at the end.
Markus Schönhoff also showed an excellent form against Hans Jurgen Kühl (40-23 in 19) and Christian Zölner beat 40-29 Frank Eversmann.

Schönhoff played his best match ever in the bundesliga, starting off with runs of nine and ten in the in the fourth and ninth inning. He made the gap and recorded a great win.

Therefore BC Magdeburg stopped the runner-up in its attempt to become the new leader after BCC Witten’s draw on Saturday against Bottroper. Eddy Leppens (against Rudolph) and Stefan Galla (against Karaca) won their matches, but Wiljan van den Heuvel defeated Ronny Lindemann (40-37) and Dustin Jaksche surprisingly won against Markus Dömer (40-19 in 22).

Bfr Sterkrade, down in the ranking, lost in Munich 6-2. Michael Puse surprised with a nice performance against Jean van Erp, whom he beat in 24 innings.
