Filippos Kasidokostas dethroned title holder Jef Philipoom.

The dethroned world champion defeated in a well-filled hall the dethroned title holder. Filippos Kasidokostas relingquished his title at the World championships in Sluiskil to Daniel Sánchez; Jef Philipoom this afternoon was eliminated by the Greek in the tournament he won last year. Kasidokostas vs Philipoom was 3-0 with sets of 15-7, 15-13 and 15-4.

It was the fastest match of the afternoon round, but because only one player ruled the rhythm and dominated the match. Jef Philipoom responded excited after the prompt start of his opponent and never could show his qualities further in the match.

The loss and the elimination also mean that the Belgian now is dropped out the top twelve of the world at the expense of Marco Zanetti, Javier Eddy Leppens or Palazón.
