Jorissen tops the bunch in Dutch league: 40 in 14

Jeffrey Jorissen is de hoogste klimmer in de eredivisie: dit weekend 40 in 14

THE HAGUE/SLUISKIL - The absence of main players in the Dutch league has not hindered the top four teams to set the stage with full wins in the 9th round. The front runners, SIS Schoonmaak, Dallinga, Prinsen and 't Hartje, all won their home matches. Jeffrey Jorissen, one of the high jumpers in this competition, was once again the best actor and topped the bunch with a 40 in 14 innings, finishing the match 40-8 against Wesley de Jaeger.

Bousema Lochem, in The Hague, and STZ Zundert, visiting 't Hartje, were the most striking losers of the day. Bousema was defeated by SIS 6-2 with only Galla on the win against Burgman (40-35 in 33). Jean van Erp, Jeffrey Jorissen and Martien van der Spoel were successful for the leader against Johan Loncelle, Wesley de Jaeger and Frans van Schaik.

The Zundert boys had an eye on leaving with one point from 't Hartje in the last part, but Roland Forthomme stuck on one carom against Davy van Havere (40-39 in 26). Barry van Beers and Rik van Beers were beaten by Harrie van de Ven and Frank Martens and only Sam van Etten won for the Zundert team against Ad Broeders 40-29 in 37.

Dallinga remained in the shadow, two points behind SIS by a 6-2 home win against A1 Biljarts. Peter De Backer was the best winner in 20 innings against German former world champion Christoph Rudolph (40-32 in 20). Steven van Acker beat the other German, Ronny Lindemann (40-32 in 27), Berry Dallinga won his match against Jordy de Kruyf (40-36 in 48). Kay de Zwart scored the only points for A1 Biljarts with a win over good old Raymond Ceulemans, 40-33 in 27.

HCR Prinsen remained in the top three by winning at home against DKM Tools on full speed 8-0 and with two JPs, Jelle Pijl (20 innings) and Jef Philipoom (22) in the leading role. 't Ivoor climbed to the position just behind the top five by winning 5-3 against Team Eekhoorn. The draw came on the scoreboard in the match between Jose Maria Mas and Huub Wilkowski (26 innings). Jerry Hermans was the best man at home with a win in 25 innings against Jack van Peer.

Gerwin Valentijn and Ronny Brants played an excellent match against each other. The Brabant players beat the Belgian 40-36 in 18. The match ended in a 5-3 win for Dekker Keukens.
