Three young Korean talents at the World's in Spain: Shin, Lee and Cho

NAREJOS - Two of the three Korean players are in the finals at the Junior world championship in Spanish Narejos this weekend. Myung-Woo Cho, the title holder and Beom-Yeol Lee, for the first time at the world stage, survived the pre-rounds, only Jung-Ju Shin was eliminated in the run-up to the finals stage. The hisstory repeats itself. The Koreans, known for their Spartan trainings, are dominating the world of three cusion in the last ten years with Haeng-Jik Kim, Myung-Woo Cho and other young talents.

Kozoom spoke with three top talents during the World championship in Spain this weekend. Short questions about billiards, other sports and life to Myung-Woo Cho, Beom-Yeol Lee and Jung-Ju Shin.

3 The impressions of this World championship in Spain?
Cho: Nice place, close to the sea, too little Korean food
Lee: My first World championship, everything is beautiful
Shin: I don't feel so good unfortunately, my playing is far below my level.

4 How many hours practice per day?
Cho: 12 in my holydays, during school time 6

5 How do you spend your free hours?
Cho: watching movies with my girlfriend
Lee: nice things with my girlfriend
Shin: with friends, computer games

Cho: Table tennis

11 Will you be rich as a billiard talent in Korea in later years?
Cho: no, but I don't think about that
Lee: no
Shin: no

12 What will billiard look like over 10, 20 years
Cho: Many Korens and other Asians on top
Lee: Always a struggle between Asians and Europeans
Shin: after Blomdahl, Jaspers, Caudron, there will come other European top players.

13 Will three cushion ever be an Olympic sport?
Cho: yes
Lee: I hope so
Shin: Let's hope

Cho: My father, Ji-Eon Cho
