ANDERNOS - The fans of the classic disciplines will be spoilt again with a Classic Race from this Friday 9 to Sunday 11 July. In the Kozoom studio in Andernos, eight well-known balk-line experts will start off for a three-day tournament in 71/2. After the successful appearance in balk-line 47/2, last March, CEB and Kozoom have together put another event in the spotlights to bring new life into the balk-line disciplines. This time the Classic Race Challenge in 71/2 is presented by Karma.

The formula does not change from the previous tournament. Two players compete for an hour, each at his own table, with the aim of scoring as many points as possible within the time limit. Misses are punished with a 90-second penalty. The player returns to his seat and may start again after these 90 seconds from the position he left behind.

It is a real race against the points and the clock. The tension is extremely high. The eight contestants will play according to the double KO formula to reach the semi-finals with four players. The aim is to win two matches before losing two games: the only way to reach the last four.

The eight invited players are half selected based on the last European championship in the 71/2 (Brandenburg 2019), the other half are wildcards from the organizer Kozoom.

1 Raymund Swertz (Netherlands)
2 Sven Daske (Germany)
3 Michel van Silfhout (Netherlands)
4 Jean-François Florent (France)
5 Dave Christiani (Netherlands)
6 Brahim Djoubri (France)
7 Willy Gérimont (France)
8 Johann Petit (France)

The matches will be broadcast live on Kozoom for Premium subscribers. Seven of 8 players are French or Dutch, the commentary will be mainly French with the cooperation of the players but also Dutch from time to time. The after-match interviews will be in both languages.

The intention of these tournaments is to enrich Kozoom's global offer for its subscribers. The continuity for the future can only happen with the support fans of the classic game. The stage for this Challenge: eight players, four referees, four technicians for the production of the images and about ten potential commentators.
