Kyung-Roul Kim: a great fighter in the final in Trabzon.

TRABZON - Two match points were enough for Kyung-Roul Kim to advance with Eddy Merckx to the finals of the World Cup in Trabzon. The Korean opened the door to a new success in his career by winning the semi-final against Filipos Kasidokostas 3-1. Just like Merckx did against Blomdahl, Kim lost his first set. Then he marched with three winning sets on his way to victory.

This afternoon the final will be a Korean/Belgian battle, between two players who are already a few years in top five. Kyung-Roul Kim won one World Cup in his career and once the Asian Games.

He is a player, just like Merckx, with nerves of steel, which he showed again in his match against Kasidokostas. He lost his first set 15-13 and then with 15-10, 15-9 and 15-10 scored in the decisive moments.

The final starts at 13.30 Paris time.
