Main role for Oissel on first day in France

SAINT-PIERRE-DES-CORPS - The first round in the French championship classical disciplines for teams in Group 2, Division 1 was played on Saturday at the Billard Club Colbert in Saint-Pierre-des-Corps. The two other playing teams: Oissel and Beauvais. The team from Soissons had a day off.

The Normans of Oissel played a strong match with two wins and a 4-2 score. Johann Petit won his both matches in 71/2, Willy Gérimont in 47/1 and Pierre Martory won and lost a match in 47/2. Therefore Oissel is leading the group with 4 points.

Saint-Pierre and Beauvais both have 1 point and share 2nd place. The meeting between the two teams ended in a 3-3 draw. Emmanuel Lefranc defeated Eric Castaner, Xavier Le Roy defeated Willy Gérimont and Frédéric Goubard and David Jacquet drew in the 71/2 in 17 innings. For Beauvais, two wins came from Xavier Le Roy, for Saint-Pierre the two victories of Emmanuel Lefranc in 47/2.

The next matchday is on 6 November in Beauvais with Saint-Pierre and Soissons, Oissel has a day off for this 2nd day.
