ANDERNOS - The French team championship faced the absence by the team of Laxou this week. This team couldn't play the away match against Albert. One of the players was ill and Laxou could not find a substitute. Albert was therefore declared the winner 8-0 with no penalty for Laxou.
The other match in the group was played in Andernos where the home team with Marco Zanetti played against Gravelines. The Andernos four won 8-0 and is now top of the group with 7 points, followed by Albert with 5, Laxou with 3 and Gravelines 1 point.
Marco Zanetti was the best player of the evening in his match against Philippe Vandendriessche. The Italian attacked with a run of 16 to a big win 40-12 in 19 innings. Roland Forthomme and Gwendal Maréchal won in 26 innings: 40-14 for Forthomme against Martin Ravestyn, 40-25 for Maréchal against Frédéric Roelants. Jérôme Barbeillon beat Marc Vitse 40-30 in 41. Andernos scored 1.428, Gravelines 0.723.
The 5th round is on 16 and 17 March with Gravelines-Albert and Andernos-Laxou.
