Martin Horn, topmatch in bundesliga against JP de Bruijn: 40-15 in 12

BERGISCH GLADBACH - The German league for teams is headed by Bergisch Gladbach after the double round in the bundesliga. The leading team defeated International Berlin and played a draw against the number two, Magdeburg. Martin Horn, playing for Berlin, was the best player in the double round with a huge victory over Jean Paul de Bruijn: 40-15 in 12 innings. On Saturday, Horn also defeated Peter Ceulemans from Bergisch 40-30 in 23 innings.

Bergisch Gladbach is on top of the league at the start of the winter break after nine matches with 13 points, ahead of BC Magdeburg with 12, BCC Witten with 11 and BC Elversberg and BC Munich with 10 points.

The top match between the numbers one and two, Bergisch Gladbacher and BC Magdeburg, ended in 4-4 on Sunday. Peter Ceulemans, Bergisch' leading player lost to Dick Jaspers 40-26 in 20 and Dustin Jäschke was defeated by Markus Schönhoff 40-37 in 39. For Bergisch, Pierre Soumagne scored against Dion Nelin (40-28 in 27) and Casper Raspel against Willenberger 40-36 in 38.

Bergisch Gladbacher's win on Saturday against Berlin was realized thanks to Soumagne, Jäschke and Raspel. Pierre Soumagne's role in the bundesliga is remarkable. The Frenchman bested Karaca on Saturday 40-26 in 28 and Dion Nelin on Sunday 40-28 in 27 innings. Soumagne is the revelation of the Bundesliga so far with 1.558 over six won games.

Of the foreign players, Dick Jaspers was the best with two victories in 17 and 20 innings. Francis Forton from Bottroper also remained unbeaten with victories over Ronny Lindemann (22 innings) and Roland Uytdewillegen (40-22 in 30). Jef Philipoom won against Karaca (40-22 in 23), but lost to Dion Nelin (40-28 in 25).

Jean Paul de Bruijn ran into strong opponents and lost twice. On Saturday against Dick Jaspers 40-28 in 17, on Sunday against Martin Horn 40-15 in 12. Jean van Erp (Bottroper) played only onte time and beat Jakob Haack Sörensen 40-39 in 30.

The next round of play is on January 6 and 7.
