McCreery events in Las Vegas and Dublin cancelled for 2020

The location in Las Vegas for the main event: postponed to 2021

NEW YORK - The pre-rounds and the main event of the McCreery Champion of Champions tournament with the best billiard players in the world, has been canceled and postponed to 2021. The qualifications were scheduled for June 2020 in Dublin, the main event for October 2020 in Las Vegas.

The second edition, following the 2018 McCreery in New York, won by Frédéric Caudron, was announced with a record prize money of 600,000 dollars. The organizer was forced to the decision due to the Corona crisis.

The invitations of the players who were announced so far will move up to 2021. The last players on the list were Therese Klompenhouwer, multiple women's world champion, Myung-Woo Cho, multiple junior world champion and Pan American champion Pedro Gonzalez .

The six still unknown wildcards will be announced later, as well as the prize money details.

The players invited to the main tournament were Dick Jaspers, Marco Zanetti, Torbjörn Blomdahl, Eddy Merckx, Tayfun Tasdemir, HaengJik Kim and Quyet Chien Tran.

The players for the preliminaries in Dublin were Lütfi Cenet, Murat Naci Coklu, Roland Forthomme, Jung-Han Heo, Gwendal Maréchal, Dinh Nai Ngo, Hugo Patiño, Nikos Polychronopoulos and Sameh Sidhom.
