Olivier Careaux was the winner of the tournament in Ecully

ECULLY - The French balk-line player Olivier Careaux is the winner of the first national 47/2 tournament this season. He was the strongest in the final against Benedict Deziles-Legros, 250-123 in 8 innings. The two players did not participate in the last French championship, won by Willy Gérimont, who was absent in Ecully.

Olivier Careaux played an excellent quarter-final match against Pascal Dessaint (250-122 in 3). Nicolas Gerassimopoulos defeated Frédéric Goubard in that round 250-10 in 3. Gerassimopoulos showed his best in a run of 192. The best run came to the name of Brahim Djoubri: 194.

In the semi-finals, Olivier Careaux was the better of Yannick Le Gregam 250-93 in 7. Benoit Deziles-Legros beat Gerassimopoulos 250-153 in 4.

Olivier Careaux scored the best overall average with 41.07.

The next tournament is from 8 to 10 May in Lunel.
