Dutch lady Karina Jetten is coming to the tables on the first day

PELOPONNESOS - Thirteen Greek players, two Turks and one Austrian kicked off in the Peloponnesos World Cup this morning. The tournament hall is located in the Wild West ranch, which is usually meant for holidays. Today (Monday), the qualification rounds have started in the PPPQ groups: matches are broadcasted live by Kozoom.

The early birds amongst the billiards fans could witness the best match in the first round, in which Dionis Tsokantas defeated his country fellowman Ioannis Savvopoulos 30-20 (25 innings). Furthermore, beautiful Greek names entered the arena in the opening round: Konstantinos Giannakopoulos needed a supreme effort to beat Dimitros Kallitsis 30-29.

The Austrian in the first round was Claus Maurer, the Turks Gungor Bastunali and Fikret Buyuk, who faced each others in the first group match.

The tournament is working towards the main tournament in the upcoming four days. The knock-out phase starts on Friday with 32 players.

Known players, in today's sessions are the Koreans Hong Sueng Lee and Sang Heon Lee and the Dutch lady Karina Jetten.

Tomorrow (Tuesday) the level rises further, including the Koreans Young Chull Kim, the Dane Allan Jensen and Spaniard Carlos Crespo.
