Sameh Sidhom won the tournament in an easy final against Hisham Saad

ALEXANDRIA – The young Egyptian Sameh Sidhom has won another tournament in his country. He finished first in the 4th ranking in Alexandria ahead of Hisham Saad.

The victory  took a minimal effort (1.117 average general) after a relatively easy final with the veteran Hisham Saad, who seems to be getting a facelift on billiard tables, with new teeth and claws.

The two finalists are followed by two veterans, Mohsen Fouda in 3rd place, and the no longer outsider Khaled Hussein in 4th place.

On the eve of the championship of the Republic, replica of the world championship, last championship in Egypt with limited participation of 48 players, the classification of the Egyptian players is as follows:

1 Sameh Sidhom, 308 points
2 Ihab El Messery, 162 points
3 Khaled Hussein, 155 points
4 Riad Nadi, 134 points
5 Ali Hares, 130 points
6 Mohsen Fouda, 129 points
7 Magued Elias, 126 points
8 Hisham Saad, 112 points
9 Khaled Erfan, 111 points
10 Ragai Choucri, 83 points.

Seven of the  above 10 top ten players are in their fifties. Nothing surprising in a country proud of its history.

Sameh Sidhom can do it without the 120 points given to the next champion of the Republic. He will remain on the top of the ranking anyway. But Sidhom will surely participate, just to show them who is the boss.
