Sameh Sidhom, on his way to a new Egyptian title


CAIRO – In Egyptian cushion the ranks have been restored. Sameh Sidhom won the last ranking tournament after he beat Mohsen Fouda in the final Mohsen Fouda 40-25 (average 1.379). The winner played his best match in the semifinal, when he defeated his main rival and friend Riad Nadi 40-20, 2.105 average.

The first two wins in the tournament dropped the overall average (1.176). The players who followed Sidhom in the rank were Mohsen Fouda (0.801), Riad Nadi (1.261), Ali Hazen (0.709), Ihab El Messery (0.912), Magued Elias (0.885), Khaled Erfan (0.796) and the young, promising Samer Kamal (0705).

The final results of the first three ranking tournament are:

1. Sameh Sidhom, 198 points
2. Riad Nadi, 114 points
3. Khaled Hussein, 112 points
4. Ihab El Messery, 106 points
5. Magued Elias, 106 points
6. Ali Hazen, 102 points

The results of the national championship will be added, with 120 points for the winner, but also the points of the regional championship with 30 points for the winner.
With its big lead, Sameh Sidhom is almost certain the champion in Egypt this season.
