Savas Bulut solid winner in Akyazi tournament

AKYAZI - Around 200 kilometers from Istanbul, in the Turkish city of Akyazi, Savas Bulut has won a three cushion invitation tournament with 90 participants. The PBA player defeated Ferhat Özbas 40-30 in 30 innings in the final match. The other two players for the final rounds were Murat Celik and Muammer Rahmet.

Savas Bulut played a strong and solid tournament, in which he dominated in the final and played his best match in the quarter-final against Vedat Yilmaz, 40 in 16 innings. Bulut qualified for the final by a victory over Murat Celik, Ferhat Özbas defeated Muammer Rahmet. The losers in the quarter finals were Verdat Yilmaz, Abdullah Kaya, Furkan Senel and Tuncay Arslan. Tolgahan Kiraz and Ömer Karakurt were eliminated in the eighth finals.

Abdullah Kaya, a young promise in Turkish billiards, beat Karakurt 40-35 in 35 innings, high run 16, to rank among the eight best players in the tournament. His best match was in 28 innings. Abdullah Kayah is living in Istanbul, 18 years of age, a student and teached billiards by Serdal Bas. ''I'm playing billiards for three years now. My goal is to be a Junior champion, work very hard and follow my dreams in billiards. My best result so far was a second position in a second stage event in 2019 for the championship.''
