SLUISKIL - Two former PBA players have made a strong come-back in the Dutch team league. Pierre Soumagne from France played the second best match in the second round of play: 40 in 15 innings. Robinson Morales from Colombia also took a solid win (40 in 20) for the Cues and Darts team, that won its match 8-0 against the former champion of Dekker Keukens.

With four match points out of two rounds of play, Dallinga is the unexpected frontrunner in the Dutch three-cushion league with a better score I matches than SIS Schoonmaak. The Zeeland team won in an away match against Aartsbouw, the number last on the league table without matchpoints so far. The victory of Berry Dallinga, team owner and team leader at Dallinga, over the Master Ludo Kools (40-34 in 33) was the most surprising of this matchday.

Two former PBA players had returned to the Dutch competition and impressed with fluent wins. Pierre Soumagne was even second best of this round following Jeffrey Jorissen, with a win over Gerwin Valentijn: 40-32 in 15. The small and tough Colombian Robinson Morales also triumphed for Cues & Darts against Ad Koorevaar: 40-22 in 20.

J&F Auto's went full speed ahead against Bousema Lochem, which in theory are two teams for the top regions. The Hague team, however, showed much better form and won 8-0: Jeffrey Jorissen was the superior winner against Johan Loncelle with 40-26 in 13 innings, the best of this round after he quickly took a 25-7 lead and score a 10 in the penultimate inning. Barry van Beers against Gökhan Salman finished 40-26 in 21, Therese Klompenhouwer won against Anno de Kleine in an excellent and exciting match: 40-38 in 30. Herman van Daalen beat Frans van Schaik 40-33 in 36.

The camping derby in Oosterhout ended in a shared victory, as Peter and Kurt Ceulemans won before the break on behalf of Team Eekhoorn against Jack Wijnen (40-24 in 26) and Joey de Kok (40-35 in 42). After the short break, the match went the other way: Roland Uijtdewillegen defeated Frans van Kuyk 40-30 in 34, Eddy Willems won against Jerry Hermans 40-22 in 26 innings.

The debut of Robinson Morales in the Netherlands and the return of Pierre Soumagne, who both play for Cues & Darts in Tilburg, were most awaited. The opponent was Dekker Keukens, the last champion of the premier league, who was swept without a chance by the Tilburg players. Apart from Morales and Soumagne, Wesley de Jaeger also won against John Tijssens (40-37 in 32) and Huub Wilkowski beat Henk Blauwblomme with 40-30 in 31.

The Zeeland frontrunner Dallinga.com also reached a maximum score in its away match against Aartsbouw. Jean Paul de Bruijn won against Dirk Weeremans 40-26 in 21, Steven van Acker vs Ronny Brants 40-13 in 23 and Koen Saver vs Martin Ravestyn with 40-32 in 32. The victory of Berry Dallinga facing Master Ludo Kools was however a highlight of the match.

SIS Schoonmaak, without its leaders Dick Jaspers and Eddy Merckx (because of the French trip to Kozoom) came up with a 5-3 against 't Hartje. Raymund Swertz and Martien van der Spoel laid the foundation for a favourable score by winning in 34 and 35 innings against Broeders and Dielis. The occasional leaders then more or less gave up. Raimond Burgman lost to Harrie van de Ven 40-34 in 26, Jean van Erp played a draw against strong Davy van Havere: 40-40 in 24, but still managed to win the match for SIS Schoonmaak 3-5.
