MADRID - Two young Spaniards, Turk Can Capak and Vietnamese Nguyen Quoc Nguyen and Dinh Nai Ngo are mentioned in a transfer to the PBA, the Korean professional league. The contracts have not yet been confirmed by all those players, but will be revealed in the coming weeks. Vietnam's top player Nguyen Quoc Nguyen, for example, said: ''I will first play the World Cup in Vietnam, then I can leave for the PBA.''

Antonio Montes, a former European junior champion, confirms his transition. ''I am just waiting for PBA news'', he said. ''The decision was just made this week, I'm still waiting to make the final announcement.''

Nguyen Quoc Nguyen, one of the most eccentric players in the UMB circuit, is ranked nr. 19 in the current rankings. He justifies his departure to the PBA: ''For me it takes only a five-hour flight to Korea, so it is attractive to play the tournaments there. And I'm getting married next Saturday, so I did it for the financial challenge as well.''

Can Capak, who recently won the World Team Championships in Viersen with Tayfun Tasdemir for Turkey, is the world number 25, Antonio Montes is nr. 31, Dinh Nai Ngo nr. 50.

Ivan Mayor, who plans to join the PBA with another young Spaniard, Andres Carrion, became European champion under 25 in his own country a few months ago. Major will be the seventh Spaniard in the PBA cycle. Current players are David Zapata, David Martinez, Javier Palazón and Carlos Anguita.

Nguyen Quoc Nguyen and Can Capak have signed up for the World Cup in Ho Chi Minh, which will be played from May 23 to 29. If they leave for the PBA, a one-year suspension will come into effect, which applies to World Cups, national and international championships.
