Ten youngsters batlle for European title

BILLY-MONTIGNY - Ten young players, coming from five different countries take part in the first European championship for players under 17 years. The tournament will be held in a little French town called Billy-Montigny in the region Nord-Pas-de-Calais. The start is tomrorrow (April 6), the final matches on Sunday.

The players are from France (three), Belgium (three), the Netherlands (two), Luxembourg and Czech Republic. The match  length is 25 points with a maximum of 50 innings. The timer is on 40 seconds.

The group format:

Group A: Pierre Bibaut (Fr), Raymon Heumen (En), Ondrej Hosek (TSJ), Gerome Dieu (Be) and Saud Muhovic (Lux).

Group B: Gwendal Marshal (Fr), Thibaut Espada (Fr), Wesley Vergauwen (Bel), Joey de Kok (Neth), Dieu Guillaume (Bel).

The opening ceremony is tomorrow (Friday) at 13.30, the first matches at 14.00. The semifinals and finals will be played on Sunday.

The tournament hall is the Cultural Center Delfosse in Billy-Montigny. The matches will be broadcast live on the site of the organization.
