Douarnenez player Grégory Le Deventec defeated Bernard Villiers in the final match

DREUX - The Breton player Grégory Le Deventec is the winner of the last national one cushion tournament in France and also leads the ranking to move up with 16 players to the finals. The third tournament was played in Dreux and brought Le Déventec and Bernard Villiers together in the final. Le Déventec won his first tournament with a score 120-66 in 16 innings. Bernard Villiers finished second in the final ranking.

The Breton deserves the win and the leading position as the very best French player over 45 games. He is the only player over 9.00 on average. Four players dominate the one cushion tournaments: Xavier Le Roy, Willy Gérimont, Alain Remond and Grégory Le Deventec.

The player from Douarnenez, who will defend his European title with his team next weekend, defeated Claude Bauduin, Eric Castaner, Eric Pichenaud, Jean-François Florent and Bernard Villiers. The victory was achieved with 7,46 on average, Bernard Villiers was 2nd with 7,02, Patrick Dupont 3rd with 6,35 and Jean -François Florent 3rd with 6,20.

Bernard Villiers defeated Patrick Dupont in the semi-finals 120-87 in 13 (run 58 Dupont, 53 Villiers), Grégory Le Deventec beat Jean Francois Florent 120-66 in 13. Jacky Justice made a run of 64 in the preliminaries, Bernard Baudoin scored 61.

The best overall averages were achieved by Etienne Desaint and Eric Castaner with 7,81 and 7,72. Best run scored by Etienne Desaint with 69.

The tournament in Dreux designated the 16 qualified players for the French Masters final in Ronchin in April.
