Dani Sánchez in his semi final match against Jae Ho Cho.

Look out for this Korean, said Frédéric Caudron, who just had won his semifinal against Dick Jaspers. He was speaking about Jae Ho Cho, provisionally the number 21 in the world ranking, but undoubtedly a fast riser after today. The Korean faced Dani Sánchez in the second semi final of today, but he had no chance: Sánchez won 15-4, 15-12, 15-8.

Dani Sanchez feels himself in a winning mood again, after a disappointing for him in the Crystal Kelly tournament. He defends his world title in about two weeks in Lima. And it seems like he is inspired by a few new developments in his career.

Two weeks ago he said that a new contract for FC Porto to play in Europe was still uncertain, this weekend he announced a new agreement with the team for which he played for years. Semih Sayginer will probably leave FC Porto. ,,I think it will be a surprise who will be the other foreign player,'' Sanchez said this afternoon.

Jae Ho Cho (31), his opponent in the semis, is a coming man in Korea, although he is for some years on top already. This year he won three national ranking tournaments, now he is the number one in his country.

Frédéric Caudron: ,,He has played a tournament with Torbjörn Blomdahl and Dani Sánchez in the summer of last year and had an overall average of 2.140. This Korean is not an unknown guy, but they are all very dangerous when they come here in a great form.''

Nevertheless, Dani Sánchez eliminated the last of the Asians without being threatened. He won 3-0 in sets and now can prepare for the final match against Caudron.

This afternoon at 17.00 the organizer of this World Cup can present a great match: Frédéric Caudron against Dani Sanchez. The world champion - and - if Caudron wins the final - against the new number one in the world.
